On Dec. 5th, the Bayan faculty hosted a group of interested applicants to the Master's program, Religious Leadership in a Muslim Context. There was a lively discussion and the students reflected a diversity of backgrounds and interests. After the open house, the potential applicants sat in on a class on interfaith relations taught by Prof. Najeeba Sayeed-Miller and Prof. Sheryl Kujawa-Holbrook.

Sheikh Said Seddouk, who serves as the Imam at the Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley and is a graduate of al-Azhar University in Egypt and has lived in the United States for the past 12 years, commented, "This program will help prepare me to better serve my community and in turn will better prepare our expanding community to engage with the other faith communities around us and the civic society at large."
