Join us for this rare opportunity to hear and interact with Dr. Aminah McCloud, Professor of Religion and Director of the Islamic World Studies program at DePaul University in Chicago. She is a noted expert on Islam in America, Muslim women, and Islamic studies in American academia. She will talk about the emergence of Muslim higher education institutions as an indication of the further development of the Muslim American community nationwide. Touching upon the successes and challenges experienced in recent decades by Muslims in our increasingly pluralistic society, she will outline educational priorities for Muslim institutions that will more effectively contribute to Muslim American religious formation and engagement.
